This week I’ve received a lot of questions from newbie Web writers. I receive far too many questions each week to answer them all - if I did, I wouldn’t get anything else done. So here’s a general message on what to do if you’re new to Web writing.

Firstly, let’s discuss DOUBT.

All the questions I receive have DOUBT in common. The writer doubts whether he can make money writing.

As the old saying goes, whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right. No one can help you with your own doubt. If you want to discuss your situation in detail with me, then I’m happy to give you an appointment for a consultation, but ultimately your doubt is up to you - writing involves sitting on a chair getting a numb rear end for hours on end, so is this your idea of a good time? If it is, welcome to the world of writing.

There are many, many ways to make one Web writing sale. Sell an article. Sell your writing services. Write an ad for someone; write a white paper.

Just make that one sale.
