Selling Web writing: Why you really, REALLY need a Web site
Thursday, March 20th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedOver on Fab Freelance Writing Blog I’ve just posted “Writing - The Truth about Making Money with your Writer’s Web Site”, which gives you five ways you can make money with your writer’s Web site.
Continuing the theme, I posted an article “Money goldmine - write articles for the Web and get paid”, which covers the requirements for making a top income writing Web articles.
Of course, once you’ve got a Web site, you need to get people to the site.
As this article points out, you need customers. How To Start A Business On A Budget » Internet Business Blog - by Yaro Starak:
“Finding customers was certainly the greatest challenge when I started BetterEdit. When the website went online we had no customers. I totally understood why that was - no one knew the site existed unless we found ways to tell them about it. It’s funny how many people start a website expecting business as soon as you hit the ‘on’ switch. I knew from running my other sites that it takes months, even years, to drive traffic.”
Yaro’s article tells you how to get those customers to your site.
Here’s the thing: it all starts with your Web site.
I know some Web writers believe they don’t need a site, but they’re wrong.
If you don’t have a site, realize you’re throwing money away, each and every week. Whatever hourly rate you’re making now, without a Web site - $80 or whatever, you can double and triple it when you have a site.
So get a site, and treat it like the treasure chest it is.
BTW, if you haven’t yet subscribed to Sell Your Writing Online NOW (SYWON), our charter subscriber offer is ending this weekend. In SYWON, we cover dozens of ways in which you can make money from your Web site(s) and show you EASY free ways to create sites too.
What more could you ask? ![]()
So get moving and create your site today - you’ll be amazed at the rapid rise in your income when you have a site to do the heavy lifting for you.
Make money writing Web sites
If you can use a word processor, you can write Web sites.
Many writers shy away from creating Web sites… they imagine it’s too techy, too complex. It’s not. A small simple site can begin earning money for you very quickly. As a rule of thumb, if you’ve created a site in an area in which there are advertisers you can start earning five to ten dollars a day per site. Now $10 a day isn’t much. But what if you had ten sites all earning $10 day? That’s $100 a day, which is $36,500 a year, just from ten simple sites. What if you had 20 such sites, all earning you $10 a day - or even more - in fact, some sites will earn you $100 a day? “Super-Fast Money-Making Web Sites For Writers: Join The Web-Publishing Bonanza” shows you how.
