I admit it. I’m a domain name junkie. Whenever I get a new idea, I buy a domain name for it.

Essentially, domain names are Internet addresses, and a single domain name can make millions of dollars for you, if someone wants to buy it.
I look on my domain names as an investment. I’ll never develop many of them, although I develop as many as I can. Even the single-page sites I create earn me a few dollars each year. Over time, as I continue to develop the sites, they make more money for me.
As a writer, you’re in a perfect position to take part in the domain name gold rush - you know words. 
If you’re a Web writer, consider building your own domain name portfolio; it can become an additional income stream, as great domain names become scarce.
