Want to write a book? Don’t bother. Write a blook. Blooks are a new trend, thanks to blogs, which make Web publishing super-simple and easy.

Here are some links to help you to get up to speed on blooks:

* Blook, Wikipedia article

* “Blooks are in Bloom” - BusinessWeek

* The Lulu Blooker Prize

* “Bloggers Move Into Blooks” - newsobserver.com

Tips to get you blooking

1. Write an outline of your blook, first. Your blook will be instant-published, so you need to know where you’re going with the thing;

2. Decide how you’ll get traffic. You could: post on forums, write news releases, write articles;

3. Will you monetize your blook? Consider advertising, affiliate marketing, etc. If you’re blooking in hopes of traditional publication, hold off on monetizing until your blook’s at least six months old;

4. Set goals for your blook: how often will you post? etc.

Have fun. :-)
