Web copywriting and Web writing: what’s the difference?

Judging by my email, many new Web writers are confused about Web copywriting and Web writing.

Here’s the difference in a nutshell:

Web copywriting: writing to SELL

Web writing: writing to INFORM

So, if you’re writing straight Web content - articles - you’re not writing copy.
