You don’t need to be a tech whiz to write for the Web. Writers write, and the technical stuff is handled by Web developers and Web designers.
However, you will want to learn how to create basic Web sites as soon as you possibly can. Why? Simple - more money. When you have your own site, you can sell not only your writing services, but also products that you create.
For example, let’s say that you create a pack of ten articles on a topic like dog training, arthritis, or wineries. You can sell these packs on your Web site for $20 for other people to use on their Web sites. Now, $20 is not a vast sum, but if you sell 200 of these packs, it’s $4000, which is a nice amount for a lazy afternoon’s work.
