Web writing: how much to charge for blogging?
Friday, May 4th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedI’ve received more questions this week on how much to charge for blogging.
It’s really up to you - set your own rates, according to your skills and experience. More print magazines are hiring bloggers, so if you’re writing for a magazine regularly, register your interest NOW. No one knows you’re interested in a blogging gig unless you tell them. ![]()
You’ll find ads for bloggers at all the usual job-hunting sites.
Here’s a recent ad placed by Wired:
WRITE THE FUTURE OF WHEELS. Wired is looking for a writer to cover the
automotive scene on our Autopia blog. Must be fast, accurate, curious, and
motivated to keep on top of what’s happening with car tech and other
transportation. This is a part time, from-home job. Six blog posts per day each weekday.
Interested? Don’t send your resume. Instead, send Boutin@wired.com
one blog post, in 200 words or less, on a recent (within the past week)
automotive topic. Make it fun. Make it relevant. Make us want to read more
from you. Compensation: $1500/mo.
Get up to speed on blogging, fast
Read my ebook Blogging For Dollars: How to become a career blogger — in your PJs, if you want to get up to speed on blogging. The introductory offer ends this weekend. So if you’ve been putting off the purchase, now might be a good time to buy.
Blogging For Dollars is the only ebook I know of that comes with coaching, so it’s a steal, even at the new price.
